Mothers United Through Tragedy Inc. (MUTT Inc.) is a grass roots, community based, 501(c)3 Non-Profit, Non-Partisan, Faith-Based Organization. MUTT Inc. main focus is to bring about social change and awareness regarding the misuse of firearms through education and the remembrance of our loved ones (Stolen Dreams) that have lost their lives tragically on our streets.
“I started Mothers United Through Tragedy Inc. after the murder of my first-born identical twin son. It was the only way that I could cope with this senseless, violent loss, caused by a person who had little regard for human life. I continue to work through my grief by vowing to help other parents and family members manage their grief and go on with their lives after murder. By helping others, my son’s spirit lives on through me. I have gone from being a victim to victorious. And you will also get there one day. I put a charge on all who enter this site to vow to get more involved in their City.” The Violence starts with us and end with us..

MUTT Inc. are Mothers, Fathers,Grandparents and Family Members who's lives have changed due to murder. Each one with a tragic story of how their loved one was murdered. Each person struggling to cope with the loss. MUTT Inc. is a Citywide organization. Survivors coming together to heal and take a stand to denounce the senseless violence that is plaguing our City.
The City of Philadelphia and the nation as a whole, struggles with the fall-out crime victimization causes. Victims of crime and their loved ones are frequently faced with financial, physical and even psychological loss after crime. Very often they believe they have been neglected by the judicial system that protects the rights of the accused. It is against this background that there is a need for continued services for victims of crime and for an organization like MUTT Inc.
The mission of Mothers United Through Tragedy Inc. is to assist parents and family members in the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child and to provide information to help others be supportive after the murder of a child or loved one.I started this organization after the murder of my first born identical twin son. It was the only way that I could cope with the loss of my first born, caused by a person who had little regard for human life.He became my childs Judge, Jury and Executioner. And in doing this I felt I had to do something other than wanting to kill that person myself."AN EYE FOR AN EYE". But that is not the way,Vengence is the mine sayth the Lord. THOU SHALL NOT KILL.....So in helping other parents and family members work through their pain,grief and sorrows,My sons spirit lives on thru me.
MUTT Inc. main objective is to turn a negative situation into a positive situation. By educating and increasing the public’s understanding of firearms violence, and senseless acts of violence, we must educate and continue with our grass roots Activism our youth and adults must learn positive solution instead of negative resolutions, through workshops and seminars also by our own examples of non-violence, and conflict solution.
We must fight for freedom, freedom from drugs that are plaguing our streets, freedom from violence, freedom to live a peaceful life. Freedom for All.I have become my son's voice now, will you become your murdered childs voice? Quentell's voice is silent mine isn't...And his voice will be heard through me. No More Killing of Our Children!!! No matter what the age. I have picked up my son's torch, and I will hold it high and never let it die out in the name of my son.
We must keep our murdered loved ones memories alive. Parents,family members pick up your loved ones torch hold it high never let them die....
